The Rendl area of St Anton is home to the terrain park and has the best following amongst the local snowboarders. There are numerous terrain features in the Rendl terrain park. Away from the terrain park the Rendl offers good piste and off-piste riding and is where those in the know head after a good snowfall. Due to the existence of the world renowned ski area on the other side of the valley, the Rendl does not get the crowds of the St Anton ski area, again something that locals know all too well. Many of the slopes are north facing meaning the snow retains a good quality and there are some great tree runs. For snowboarders who want to access one of the most famous routes in Austria, the run from the Valluga 2 lift station has to be considered.
