Part of the Arlberg ski region, St Christoph also accesses the extensive and impressive St Anton ski area.
Next to St Anton is the lift linked resort of St Christoph. The St Anton ski pass covers both St Anton and St Christoph and it is something of a tradition for skiers and boarders to take lunch down in St Christoph in one of the large open terraces that dot the ski pistes in St Christoph.
There are a number of lifts and ski pistes in the St Christoph ski area but the majority of the skiing is in the St Anton area. The pistes running down to St Christoph are wide and open and have glorious views down the Arlberg Valley towards Lech and Zurs. The nature around St Christoph is very expansive with endless peaks and snow bowls. The village of St Christoph is compact, consisting mainly of holiday accommodation and tourist facilities. From St Christoph there are buses to the resorts of Lech and Zurs as well as St Anton.
However the best way to get to St Anton is via the ski pistes with the main lift from St Christoph accesses the ski area of St Anton directly. From here the skier can take the cable car across to the mighty Valluga or beyond to the fearsome steeps of the Valluga 2.
Alternatively skiers can run down into the long valley that heads toward St Anton or the ski pistes that run directly into St Anton.

If St Christoph is somewhat on the quiet side then you stop off at the Mosserwirt, the best of the slope side après ski bars, just above St Anton. It is then a short run back to St Anton and the ski bus or taxi
back to the calm of St Christoph. That is if you can avoid the draw of the après ski in St Anton. St Christoph would be considered a pretty good base for families as there are numerous slope side hotels, with extensive amenities, a small and quiet village centre and gentle, wide open skiing.
