St Anton is famous for its advanced ski terrain, its après ski and the beautiful and the spectacular nature surrounding St Anton.
The ski area above the ski resort of St Anton can be accessed directly from St Anton, St Christoph or the satellite village of Nasserein which is now lift-linked directly into the main St Anton ski area. The ski area is extensive, covering a large geographic area and offering a good total length of ski pistes. All ski abilities are catered for in such a sizeable area but it is the advanced skiing at St Anton which sets it apart from other ski areas.

The Valluga 2 top lift station in St Anton offers access to some of the best expert ski terrain in Austria and beyond. In good snow conditions, the powder run down from Valluga 2, to Zurs in Arlberg is legendary. Certified guides are a requirement for anyone taking skis or snowboards on the Valluga 2 lift. There are some wide and reasonably challenging intermediate pistes further down the mountain from Valluga and in the natural valley that forms in St Anton and runs into the resort itself, there are some very gentle and long runs that would suit those new to the sport. St Anton is legendary for après ski and it often begins before St Anton is reached. The best of the après ski venues is the Mooserwirt, located on the ski pistes above St Anton. After a few beers the ski piste down to St Anton is littered with skis and skiers hiking back up to retrieve isolated ski equipment. Après ski carries on late in the main street of St Anton.
