Technically part of the St Anton ski area, Rendl offers a terrain park as well as good off piste skiing, across the valley from St Anton.
Rendl is the ski area on the opposite side of the valley to the main St Anton ski area. Both areas are served by the accommodation and resort of St Anton but the ski area at Rendl is different in aspect and services than the St Anton ski area. The main terrain park at St Anton is located at Rendl and the north-facing aspect of Rendl means that the snow is less prone to deterioration from the sun than the main St Anton ski area. This helps to keep the large deposits of Arlberg snow in good condition. Rendl is a popular place to commence ski tours in the mountains around St Anton and also has some great powder skiing in the trees. Rendl makes a good alternative area to St Anton and depending on the conditions can even be preferable.
